Message Went over to Woody's Saturday to take a look at the progress... lots done. Old engine is out and he's been discovering things wrong but to be expected on a 16 year old car... For example, lots of oil collecting on passenger side of engine bay. Brake fluid eating paint below booster, and clutch leaking pretty bad. Here's a pic of the dirty engine bay:

Next step was to roll it out for some degreasing and power washing... It was chilly and snow was supposed to come later that day but never did.

Pic of Woody's garage with my TT engine on the stand. Girly calendar is on far left out of view.

Close-up of engine:

Here's my old NA engine on the floor. Woody did a compression test 2 years ago and everything was strong. But this time two cylinders tested very low.

Let the fun begin:

Dawn detergent and Simple Green makes a good combo:

Looking much cleaner now:

Some things were not expected. The rear Stillen sway bar had been installed upside down by a local specialized 'Z' mechanic that the Colorado Z club (ZCCC) endorses and the front Sway Bar bracket was missing a bolt. Good thing i skipped the past few track days.

Don't ask about the black Z... needs some major work. Local buyer got taken advantage of. Looks sharp from a distance however.
